Please meet Tash. She is a 12-year-old, spayed female, German shorthaired pointer.
She has been surrendered to us at Dogs Walk This Way rescue as her elderly owner can no longer care for her. This has been a heart wrenching decision for her as she has had Tash since she was a puppy.
Our kennel manager, Mandy, has known her almost as long.
Tash is a very well-behaved and well trained girl. She travels well in the car, has an excellent recall and knows many commands. She can pull a little on a standard lead but walks nicely in a head collar. She can live with other dogs and dog savvy cats. She is friendly with every person she meets, young and old.
The type of home that we are looking for is an active one where Tash can be walked daily. An added advantage would be somebody that was prepared to keep in touch with her old owner, sending her the occasional update and photos.
