Stanley is the most placid and friendly dog you could meet. He loves nothing more than a walk in the morning and then home to snooze on the sofa for the rest of the day.
He does suffer with some separation anxiety and his fosterer has been working on this. He is best being left with another dog, the radio on and a little treat. He can be left for up to two hours now, so once settled into a new home, this can be built up a little further if needed.
Stanley likes all people and is friendly with everyone he meets. He is very good with all dogs, he has met younger, older and all different sized dogs. He will have a little play in the home with a dog but needs a dog that won’t pester for play too much as he is an older boy.
Stanley would be fine with visiting young children to the home but if children are living in the home then older children would be preferred as he does like his peace and quiet!
Due to his older age Stanley does have some hearing issues. A new owner would need to be mindful of this if they wanted to let him off lead. He happily uses a long line in foster and prefers more sedate walks so not being off lead wouldn’t phase him.
Overall Stanley is just a great dog, his fosterers haven’t got a bad word to say about him! He is an easy going dog who would suit a couple or a family with older children and another calm dog in the home.
