Meet PLUTO
Sex: Male
Age: 3-4 year old
Size: Medium
Pluto is a really lovely boy, who arrived from Bahrain a few months ago. Since then he has been in foster to help him to gain some confidence. He has a sweet nature and is friendly with all dogs and currently lives with two cats as well. He is nervous of new people especially men however, this just results in him taking himself off to his bed. Once he’s seen somebody a few times he will take treats from them and is happy to go on a walk with anyone! He’s a very good boy on his walks and has a reasonable recall.
On lead he is a perfect gentleman and he travels well in the car. He is happy to be crated or loose and is not destructive in anyway. He is clean in the house. He can be left alone for a few hours, alone or with other animals for company. He is very scared of children, this is probably because young lads, on the streets of Bahrain, threw sticks and stones at him. However, he would never do anything nasty to a child and on a walk will just avoid them.
To that end the ideal home set up for Pluto would be childfree but visiting children would be fine, provided he would have a safe space to go to to avoid them. He could be a single dog but would definitely benefit if you had either a resident dog or regular doggy friends to gain confidence from. He could live with cats but has not been tested with small furries.
Once he gains his confidence with you he’s a lovely, goofy boy, who does a little happy dance, when you come in in the morning or back from being out. We’re absolutely sure that, once he settles with his people he will become a bit of a cuddle monster. He does love his strokes but at the moment it’s all a little bit on his terms. Could you be the perfect home for this gorgeous boy?
