Can live with other dogs - Yes
Can live with children - Yes (currently with 4 children 6-15)
Can live cats - Not tested but lived with cats in a previous rescue
Louie is looking for his forever family. This lovely gentle lad has had an unfortunate year in which his perfect home has been within touching distance but unfortunately his new owner was severely allergic to him. After a short time Louie’s owner made the heart breaking decision they would have to surrender him to DWTW as the allergy was getting worse. Louie has now been in foster with us for almost 6 weeks and is starting to really show his wonderful personality. Louie is currently living in a family household with children and 2 other dogs. He loves to play with the other dogs so would benefit from having a playful doggy companion. Louie can be timid when meeting humans but loves meeting other dogs on his walks. Louie currently sleeps in his bed on the landing and hasn’t been crate trained. When his fosters are out he is left in the kitchen with the other dogs as he does have a habit of finding a lonely shoes or soft toys to have a chew on! Louies recall needs work. When walking in a secure field Louie runs and runs and happily comes back after he has explored, however this is more on his terms! His recall in the home has improved greatly and he will come when called. Louie is housetrained and travels well in the car. He has been through a lot and is slowly adjusting to his foster home.
