Koala was rescued from the dreaded Barlad kill shelter along with 17 other dogs, by our team in November 2019. Koala and Geri are the last two dogs to make the journey over from that outreach trip, although we still have 12 dogs out in Romania that we have reserved.
Koala is an older dog, we believe 8+ years, and the sadness in his eyes when he arrived was heartbreaking.
Koala was a very shut down dog and so his rehabilitation will take some time as he learns to trust humans again.
