Meet Kipo
Sex: Male
Age: 9 Months
Size: Medium to large
Kipo is a 9-month-old medium to large male crossbreed. He is an active dog and is looking for an experienced adult only home.
He is wary of new people but once won over he will quickly become your best friend. Kipo is great fun. He loves cuddles, playing with his toys and going for walks. He gets on well with all other dogs but can be unaware of his size around little dogs.
During his time in foster Kipo has shown good obedience training. He is highly food motivated and is keen to learn. His recall is coming along and is solid when there are no distractions around. He will need continued training on this before he is let off his long line on walks.
Kipo is a suspicious of new people and will bark at them if they come in his home. Introductions will need to be managed to ensure he is happy with visitors and he will need further training with this. He is still young both mentally and physically and displays puppy like behaviours. He can mouth and jump up when he gets over excited but this behaviour is improving. He does whine if left on his own, so would benefit from being in a house where someone is home most of the time.
Kipo has been crate trained and will happily sleep through the night in his crate. He travels well in the car and is toilet trained.
Kipo has been living as an only dog but he would benefit from living with another dog to provide guidance.
