Carter is a 6-8 year old neutered male Greyhound. He is a super calm and friendly boy, with such a gentle soul. Carter walks beautifully on lead and always walks to heel without pulling. On occasion he be a little wary of approaching dogs, but with some reassurance he calms down and walks along nicely without a fuss. He does prefer the company of calmer dogs when socialising. We would advise that Carter is the only dog in the household.
Carter is not fussed at all by visitors entering the house. He loves to meet new people and always wants to come and say hello! Due to Carter being an ex racing dog, he does occasionally get excited at fast moving cats/small furries, although he does tend to walk past nicely. Because of this, we advise that Carter is unable to live with cats.
Carter absolutely loves the car and will happily jump in and lays down nice and quiet throughout journeys. Carter is clean in the house and can be left for short periods / overnight with no mess, noise or destruction.
Because he is an older boy, Carter doesn’t require a huge amount of exercise, he likes to get out for a nice long walk once a day and once he’s back he’ll do his favourite thing … SLEEP! Carter will literally sleep for most of the day, which is very typical of most sighthounds!
If you are looking for a fuss free companion – Carter really is the dog for you. He never puts a paw wrong and is quite simply a wonderful boy. He is an absolute joy to live with, his fosterers could not sing his praises any more if they tried! Carter just wants to be loved … and sleep!
Carter has improved so much at his foster home, he is so much more confident and not to mention has put on some much needed weight!
