Meet ALFIE
Sex: Male
Age: 12 Years
Size: Large
We would like to introduce Alfie. He is 12 years old and has unfortunately found himself with us after his owner sadly passed away. Alfie is house trained and walks well on lead. He loves meeting new people and has been fine with dog that he has met including reactive dogs that have barked at him or young puppies who have been very keen to say hello.
He has seen cats and squirrels when out on walks and completely ignored them and travels well in the car. He has met young children and has been very calm and patient with them although due to the fact that Alfie is an older boy and in his retirement years we wouldn’t consider a home with young children for him.
Alfie does show signs of separation anxiety and it has become obvious while he has been in foster that he has been used to sleeping in his owners bedroom and that he is also very attached to the female in the house. Alfie could live in an adult only home and could live with or without another calm dog. Due to Alfie’s separation anxiety he will need someone who is around most of the time.
