Meet TITA

Picture
Sex: Female

Age: 8 to 10 years approx

Size: Large

This beautiful lady is Tita and is possibly the most loving dog you’ll ever meet! She adores a cuddle and will happily follow you around until you’re ready to chill out on the sofa with her.

Tita is a neutered female collie mix who is approximately 8-10 yrs old. She had lived with an elderly owner and a male dog in Romania until the owner sadly passed away. Tita is very good on a walk, friendly with other dogs and happy to say hello. She gets more excited about dogs her own age but generally she’s happy to say hello to everyone. Tita currently walks approximately 4 miles a day as the collie in her keeps her young.

Tita is very food orientated which is great for training and she loves throwing her toy around the garden and chasing it. Although she hasn't quite mastered fetch yet she will happily gallop after her toy and play with it.

Tita loves travelling in the car and beelines for it as soon as she is out the door. She happily sits on the seat so she can have a nose out of the window at everything passing by. Her foster is working on calm behaviour before walks and making her wait for leads and doorways as she gets very excited to go.

Tita currently sleeps on the floor in her fosters bedroom. She is clean and dry in the house and can be left for up to 4 hours with no signs of destructive behaviour when left alone although she would prefer someone who around most of the time.

Tita couldn’t live with cats as she tries to chase most things small and fluffy. She is great with small children and is patient when they stroke her but as an older lady we wouldn't want place her in a busy home with young children. Tita has shown some minor resource guarding behaviour around food (food bowls/treats on the floor) with other dogs so would be best as an only dog or with another calm dog. As an older lady Tita does have some health issues (low grade heart murmur and start of cataracts) neither of which require vet treatment at this time.

Could you be the lucky person to share your home with Tita?
