- We assess every dog once it arrives in the UK, complete child and cat testing, and the adoption process may include multiple meets to ensure the dog is right for you and vice versa.
- Not only do we meet the legal standards for transporting dogs from Romania, Rabies vaccinations, Passport, Microchip, Flea and wormer, we also do kennel cough and lepto vaccinations as well as extra tests for various different infectious diseases. These are 4dX snap test and Brucella tests.
- We register the chip to the new adopters name which is included in our adoption fee.
- We have a local vet who is on hand 24/7 for any of our dogs should they need anything including x rays, antibiotics, blood tests, operations or referral specialist works with their in-house orthopaedic surgeons. DWTWR also get very discounted rates on surgeries within their capabilities.
- We cover vet costs for pre-existing conditions for life if our vet is used
- We offer trial periods for some of our trickier dogs
- We have behaviourists/trainers within our team to help with anything, offering 3 months support free of charge (including visits). After this we offer 1-2-1 behavioural consultations at a reduced rate (half price) for our rescue dogs.
- Follow up home calls at 1 week, 1 month and 3 months
- Supported online adoption group to deal with dog problems, which is run by experts, but also help from other adopters that may have experienced the same issues - so lots of free advice!
- Organise pack walks for people with reactive dogs or socialisation problems
- Extensive checks when applying for a dog and references followed up
- Friendly and helpful team of people who are on call to help with anything pre and post adoption
- Local rescue back up for life
